For more information about Limited Store, click hereSince its founding in 1837, HERMÈS has continued to draw on the exceptional craftsmanship and refined aesthetic sensibilities developed in its saddle-making workshops, creating masterpieces that bring together practicality and artistry. We are pleased to introduce an exquisite piece that features a motif of horse tack—symbolic of the Maison’s storied history.
Crafted by shaping lustrous gold-toned metal into a cylindrical form, it is finished with delicate adornments along the top and bottom edges reminiscent of stitching found on leather goods. Set with an éperon (stirrup) charm at the front, this piece elegantly translates the heritage of HERMÈS’s traditional saddle-making into a sophisticated accessory.

The cylindrical body boasts a simple silhouette with restrained decoration. Yet the slender slits set at equal intervals along the top and bottom edges create reflections of soft light and dimensional shadows, lending the gold-toned metal a delicate sense of expression.
This regular ornamental detail evokes the stitch design also found in HERMÈS leather items. Using a different material—metal—rather than leather, the craftsmanship still allows you to feel the Maison’s tradition rooted in saddle-making.
Especially striking is the éperon-inspired charm attached to the front of the body. Expressed through a beautiful form where curves and straight lines harmonize, it depicts the piece of tack the rider places their foot on when mounted. This sculptural beauty of a functional tool is elevated into an ornament as refined as jewelry.

In addition, the charm is attached to the body via a small ring, so when you pass a scarf through, it naturally shifts in orientation along the way the fabric layers overlap. As it gently sways with your movement, you can enjoy a three-dimensional presence that differs from a fixed decoration.
And on the lower part of the éperon, the HERMÈS brand logo is engraved. Rather than prominently displaying the logo on the front of the accessory, it is incorporated subtly as part of the overall saddle-inspired design—an elegant, unmistakably HERMÈS aesthetic.

Inside the body, you can see an engraving that reads MADE IN ITALY. Made in Italy, this exquisite piece has the appeal of an accessory that expresses HERMÈS’s design rooted in saddle-making through meticulous metalwork. It is believed to date from the 1990s through the 2010s. In addition to the fact that similar cylindrical scarf rings are circulated as vintage items, the combination of the structure of the éperon charm, the brand engravings, and the country-of-manufacture marking allows it to be positioned as one of HERMÈS’s classic accessories from that era.

Although it is a small accessory—a scarf ring—it incorporates two important elements from HERMÈS’s history. As an ornament, it offers a touch of splendor, while also allowing you to enjoy it as you deepen your understanding of the brand’s background and approach to craftsmanship.
For styling, pair a silk scarf with a simple shirt or a tailored jacket, and incorporate this ring at the neckline to achieve a classic, refined look unmistakably HERMÈS. Alternatively, combine it with knitwear or a long coat to add just the right amount of understated glamour, for an elegant outfit you can enjoy.
We invite you to consider this opportunity.
