オートクチュールの造形美と装飾性をジュエリーへと昇華してきたChristian Diorより、パール状ビーズと黒色カボション状パーツのコントラストが印象的な90年代から00年代初頭のネックレスであるこちらの逸品をご紹介致します。
クリーム色のパール状ビーズを複数列に連ねたフォルムは、首元に沿うチョーカーとして設計されており、柔らかな光沢が顔まわりに穏やかな明るさを添えています。均一なビーズが横方向に連続することで、装飾性を備えながらも全体には端正なまとまりが生まれていますね。
中央には黒色のカボション状パーツを三つ縦に配し、それぞれをねじれたロープ状のゴールドカラー金具で囲んでいます。黒色の深い色調がパールの明るさを引き締める一方で、金具の立体感が両者をつなぎ、首元に奥行きのある表情をつくっています。
さらに、両端には縦長のバー金具を備え、複数列のビーズを端正にまとめています。背面へ回ると延長チェーンと留め具が続き、チェーンの先には丸形のDIORタグが揺れる仕様です。正面の装飾だけでなく、後ろ姿まで意識して構成された点に、コスチュームジュエリーとしての完成度が感じられます。
