抽象画のような奥行きを宿した、美しく目を引くの柄使いが特徴であるこちらの逸品。
まず特筆すべきは、シルク60%×ウール40%という贅沢な混紡に、イタリア製ならではのしなやかな織りが重なる点で、光を受けた瞬間にだけ現れる控えめな艶と、首元でふくらむように立ち上がるドレープが同居しますね。
薄手でも頼りなく見えないのは、ウールが生む“芯”がある為で、巻いた時に面が潰れず、自然な陰影が残る設計と言えます。
柄はロゴの誇示ではなく、ブロンズやブラウンを溶かしたような抽象表現で、輪郭が滲むように重なるモチーフが、90年代後半〜2000年代初頭のモードに通底する退廃美やグランジの空気を静かに想起させます。
加えて、端はフリンジで仕上げられている為、動くたびに揺れが生まれ、図柄の“絵画性”に時間のニュアンスが足されるのも魅力ですね。
