Refund & Return Policy (For UK Consumers)

Your Statutory Rights If you are a consumer residing in the United Kingdom, nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Important Notes Regarding Vintage & Secondhand Items: Before making a purchase, please carefully review the product descriptions and photos.

  • Due to the nature of pre-owned and vintage items, there may be rare instances of minor stains, scratches, or signs of wear that are not explicitly detailed.
  • The actual color of the product may differ slightly from the images due to monitor settings and lighting conditions.
  • As measurements are taken manually, please allow for slight discrepancies in size.

1. Your Right to Cancel (Change of Mind / Fit / Size) Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have a legal right to cancel your contract and return the item for any reason (including change of mind or incorrect size) within 14 days of receiving the product.

  • How to Cancel: You must notify us of your decision to cancel by contacting info@mood-by-link.com within 14 days of receipt.
  • Return Shipping Costs: If you are returning an item simply because you changed your mind or it does not fit, you are fully responsible for paying the direct international return shipping costs to Japan.
  • Return Deadline: You must send the item back to us without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation.

2. Faulty or Incorrect Items Under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be as described, fit for purpose, and of satisfactory quality. If you believe you have received a fundamentally defective item or an item that differs significantly from its description, you have a right to a full refund if you notify us within 30 days of receiving the product.

  • Please contact us with your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photographs. If a return is authorized due to a verified fault or our error, we will bear the return shipping costs.

3. Condition of Returned Items & Diminished Value You are permitted to inspect the item as you would in a retail store. However, if the value of the goods is diminished by any amount as a result of handling the goods beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning, we may deduct that amount from your refund (up to the full value of the purchase price).

We consider the value of the goods to be significantly diminished (and may refuse a full refund) in the following circumstances:

  • Products that show any signs of having been worn outdoors, used, altered, or cleaned by the customer.
  • Products that have acquired odors (e.g., perfume, smoke), new stains, or have been damaged after delivery.
  • Products returned with missing or damaged original packaging, brand tags, dust bags, authenticity cards, or any included accessories. (All tags must remain securely attached as received).

4. Refund Process & UK Customs/VAT Once your return is received and inspected at our facility in Japan, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, the refund will be processed to your original method of payment without undue delay.

  • Please Note (Import VAT & Customs Duties): MOOD cannot refund any UK Import VAT, customs duties, or handling fees that you paid directly to HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) or the shipping carrier upon delivery. You will need to contact HMRC directly to claim a refund for those specific tax charges using your return shipping documentation.
