The fabric uses a blended material (PERMANENT PRESS) of “65% polyester, 35% cotton,” widely regarded as the ideal ratio in American-made work dress shirts of the time. While it retains cotton’s natural texture and breathability, blending in polyester delivers wrinkle resistance and high durability. Thanks to its toughness, it holds its shape even after daily laundering and can be worn casually straight from the wash—an advantage that only vintage pieces can offer.
