"GUCCI"
2013-15 1953 suede horsebit loafers
From GUCCI, which was founded in Florence in 1921 and continues to carry forward elegance rooted in craftsmanship and riding culture, we would like to introduce an iconic design piece.

Against the backdrop of the design of the horsebit loafer created in 1953, this exceptional piece lets the Maison’s heritage translate into everyday footwear.
The upper appears to be crafted from warm suede in a gradient from camel to tan brown. The gentle napped texture receives light softly, and combined with the antique-gold-toned horsebit hardware, it creates an understated depth that doesn’t tip into anything overly flashy.

A rounded toe and moccasin-style stitching create a classic expression, while the saddle and bit crossing the vamp elegantly tighten the look of the foot. As a low-cut slip-on type, it still finishes with a refined presence that naturally complements both slacks and denim.
On the insole, you can confirm a woven label featuring an emblem, GUCCI, the cursive “Gucci,” “1953,” and “MADE IN ITALY. On the outsole, there is a stamp reading “GUCCI made in italy” and size “37,” and on the rubber portion there is an embossed GG logo. Even in parts you can’t see, you can feel the brand’s meticulous craftsmanship.

As for the era, the “1953” marking on the insole is an ornamental design indicating the origin of the horsebit loafer rather than the year of manufacture. It also aligns with the 1953-style specifications that were introduced after GUCCI’s 60th anniversary in 2013, and the modern accompanying box with a barcode plus the “37” size marking on the outsole match as well. With the consistency between the box and the shoe body as a premise, it is naturally understood as a specimen from the period after 2013 through around 2015.
The estimated era overlaps with the period when Frida Giannini was responsible for creative direction; however, its appeal lies less in a particular individual designer’s touch and more in the perfectly realized “horsebit loafer”—a timeless classic GUCCI has cultivated over time.
The size is labeled EU37. The upper looks streamlined in a loafer-like silhouette, and the soft texture unique to suede helps it feel less rigid—creating a balanced fit that keeps the crisp, well-made look of leather shoes while still integrating naturally into everyday wear.
For styling, of course it pairs beautifully with pleated center-pressed slacks for an elegant look; you can also elevate faded denim or wide-leg wool trousers, where the warmth of the camel suede is highlighted and leaves a luxurious afterglow even in casual outfits.
This is an exceptional piece to recommend in particular to those who want to add depth of quality to their everyday style, and to those seeking heritage shoes they can cherish for years to come—without the logo overstating itself, you can feel GUCCI’s signature character through the quality of the materials and hardware.
Definitely take advantage of this opportunity.
