From Maison Margiela, which has steadily shifted conventional assumptions and brought an intelligent sense of space to the modern wardrobe, we present a piece with exquisite tailoring.
On the calendar tag, 14—indicating the men’s line—is circled, and this item layers Maison Margiela’s minimalist tension onto the form of a classic gilet.
The outer fabric is made primarily with virgin wool, blended with viscose, cotton, and elastane. On a deep navy base, fine stripes run from brown to greige, creating a finish that maintains a refined impression from a distance while highlighting the texture of the weave and a subtle sense of dimensionality the closer you look.
For the front, the design follows a traditional tailored vest with five buttons set into a deep V-zone.
