Founded in 1846 in a leather workshop in Madrid, Spain, LOEWE has expanded its distinctive aesthetic from leather to the realms of fashion and accessories, drawing on exceptional craftsmanship. We are pleased to present this remarkable piece, in which the Maison’s emblematic anagram is reimagined as bold jewelry.
Linked together are large oval medallions made of lustrous gold-tone metal. By powerfully placing a black anagram motif at their center, this piece unites LOEWE’s classic sense of refinement with the glamorous accessory sensibility characteristic of the 1980s and 1990s.

The first thing that draws the eye is the four oval medallions that make up the bracelet. Their domed form, which is subtly raised in the center, creates a sense of three-dimensionality distinct from a flat plate. When it catches the light, gentle gradations appear on the gold surface, allowing it to show rich character even with the smallest movements of your wrist.

Along each outer edge, fine rope-like detailing winds around, sharpening the silhouette while creating a contrast in texture with the smooth center. Despite its substantial size, it is refined in appearance as jewelry.
Depicted at the center is a design based on LOEWE’s iconic anagram, created by designer Vicente Vela in 1970. Inspired by the branding stamps once used to leave impressions on high-quality leather, it boldly expresses a monogram made up of four L’s in glossy black.

Rather than being composed entirely of gold, it incorporates black as a field, causing the motif itself to stand out clearly. This creates a striking duality: from a distance, it reads as an abstract graphic, while up close you can recognize it as LOEWE’s anagram emblem. This is one of the bracelet’s unique attractions.
In addition, instead of directly fixing the medallions together, they are connected with two rows of chain between each one. This allows them to move naturally along the curve of the wrist. Even though it uses thick metal components, the structure is designed so it does not feel rigid when worn.

On this chain section as well, by layering fine links, the density as decoration is preserved. With all three elements—medallions, chain, and rope-like edging—unified in the same gold tone, a complex composition comes together beautifully as a single piece of jewelry.
The clasp uses a T-bar style, in which a twisted bar is passed through a ring. Rather than treating the hardware as something only functional, it is designed as part of what is visible when worn—an indulgence that can be felt as typical luxury of vintage accessories.
When you look at the reverse side, each medallion is molded with a deeply recessed, three-dimensional structure. While it creates the rich fullness seen from the front, it is also crafted with consideration for weight balance when placed on the arm. This is not only decorative from the outside—the presence is also created through the form itself, which offers the kind of interest typical of costume jewelry from that era.

The period can be considered to be from the latter half of the 1980s to the latter half of the 1990s. Along with the sculptural forms of the older anagram emblem that symbolizes LOEWE, the combination of a large gold-tone medallion, clear contrast with black, and the presence of the chain and T-bar clasp aligns with the decorative accessory design sensibilities seen during this time.
While today’s LOEWE treats the anagram in a more minimal and graphical way, this piece places the brand’s symbol itself prominently as the main focus of the jewelry. Through its substantial decorative character, it allows you to enjoy an emblem the Maison has carried for a long time, adding extra value as an archival piece.
What is especially appealing is that it does not simply complete itself as logo jewelry. By combining multiple elements—oval curves, rope-like edging, domed dimensionality, and the intricate movement of the chain—and ultimately unifying everything into an unmistakably clear color palette of black and gold, it achieves a level of finish that makes it easy to incorporate into your outfit even while being strongly decorative.

This is a piece we especially recommend for those who feel that delicate accessories are not enough, for those who want to add a distinct sense of luxurious presence to a simple outfit, and for those who would like to enjoy the glamorous aesthetic sensibility once held by the Maison in a different era—one that differs from today’s LOEWE.
For styling, you can add it as a single accent to an outfit pairing tailored shirts or blouses with slacks, allowing you to enjoy the bracelet itself as the main focus. It also works beautifully when glimpsed from the cuffs of a jacket or a long dress, adding just the right amount of strength to a classic look. It pairs well with minimal set-ups and tops with drape as well, making it easy to incorporate into a genderless MOOD styling that sets the jewelry as the focal point at your wrist, without being confined by the categories of men’s or women’s fashion.

Although it is an accessory from around more than 30 years ago, it lets you enjoy the anagram—LOEWE’s emblem that continues to this day—front and center. It also features a sculptural combination of large medallions and black graphics that is difficult to find in current pieces. With this level of presence, it is an item well suited to be introduced as part of a special collection.
