Margiela’s Invitation to an Intellectual Aesthetic of Reconstruction
Maison Margiela: Deconstructed Elegance
An intellectual inquiry into the construction of clothing, pursued by Maison Margiela. A reimagining aesthetic seen in the deconstructive mohair cardigan from the 2011 AW collection, the tailored blazer from 2012 SS, and the camberband trousers from 2001–2003. This is a proposal to bring a quiet yet powerful individuality—hidden within the classic—into everyday life.
